Easter 2014

Easter this year was so fun. This was the first year I had a child who could actually hunt for eggs! And I got to dress you both in matching Easter dresses! So fun!   Here we are last year and this year. I had to add a separate photo of Eisley because she slept the whole time! Kaybree got to ride shotgun next to Uncle Brodie in his BMW. All my coworkers thought it was adorable seeing her wave to the crowd like a little beauty queen. She did so great! Here you are in your matching dresses. Wish I would have gotten a better photo! The quality of this one is not great... This one makes me laugh. I asked all the kids to sit together with their baskets and here you all are and while Stryker is distracted smiling for the camera, Kaybree sees eggs and goes for it. He had no idea he got an egg swiped! (We put it back don't worry!) You were so cute hunting for eggs. You'd pick one up and put it in your basket then see another one, point to it and say &qu

Kaybree the lover

Kaybree, I love how loving you can be! You're getting really good at hugs and kisses. One time you even asked ME for a kiss, which was new and exciting! Hugs and kisses for mom and dad is my favorite part of our bedtime routine. You know it so well that after we pray, we hug and kiss. Sometimes I know you use hugs and kisses to extend your bedtime. You give me a hug and kiss, then Dad gets a hug and kiss and then you run back to me for another hug and kiss and then immediately run to Dad. You know it makes us laugh and we never turn down a chance to love you so yes, it does get you five more minutes of awake time. I also love it when I'm carrying you somewhere and you hold on real tight. That let's me know you love me and are excited to be with me. I think I just love feeling you little toddler hands and arms on me when you are not being whiny but just loving. Lately you've decided you like to do my hair. You run up behind me when I'm sitting on the ground and ju

Kaybree trouble maker

Kaybree, when did you become so dang funny? I guess we've always thought everything you do is hilarious but now you're seriously, seriously funny. You make me laugh out loud all the time. You talk a lot. Most of it is still gibberish but you can definitely communicate when you want something and you're copying me and your dad more and more. For example every time you drop something you say "Crap." It comes out more like "Cap!" but you get the point. It makes me laugh because I know what you're saying but I don't think the average person would pick up on it. You say it so automatically--just like we do. Recently you've become quite the trouble maker. You're very good at saying "no" but most of the time you still do what I ask anyways--you just have to make it obvious to me that you're not happy about it. Getting into the dog dish is the best example of this. You LOVE to play in the dog's water bowl. You'll step i

An explaination

Before Kaybree was even born I began writing to her in a journal. I told her how excited we were to have her and how much she meant to me and how anxious I was to meet her. I did not do that for Eisley and now that she is here I can say... it's not gonna happen. But I'm a pretty good emailer to friends and I figured maybe if it's somewhere online I can jump on every once in a while and record some memories. Maybe someday I'll make it into a book for them. Who knows!
